Spekter's Freedom Fighters

You may not be able to tell right away, but what we have here is my interpretation of 's reimaginings of Sonic the Hedgehog [link] and Sally Acorn [link] . Please note that the color schemes I gave them as well as numerous details may be completely inaccurate. I've also done:

For Sonic, everything just kinda fell into place, coloring-wise. Design-wise, I did my best to stay true to Mr. Spekter's pic, though I added buckles to the boots, and turned the rope-looking things into straps. I figured the torn sleave wasn't part of Sonic's actual design, and was more the result of the situation he was in, but I liked it so it stayed.

And on that note, I gave the his wardrobe a few more nicks and tears here and there, and tried to make his armor look kinda tarnished. Oh, and one of his ears is cut too. I was gonna do the same to Sally, but I forgot until I had already inked most of her. Besides, she probably takes better care of her stuff anyway.

Sally's... suit, got a fair bit of tweeking because it reminded me of the flight suits the characters wear in an airplane game I have. So I added elements of those suits to hers. I was trying to make it a little less risque actually, but I guess the zipper going down the front does the opposite... Ah, well.

I'm very glad she has a long tail in this design, not only because it just looks lacking without it, but also because I used it to hide her lower legs. I just couldn't understand what I was looking at, so the tail was a big help there. Oh, and I changed the plain colar into gold to serve as a subtle reminder that she is a princess.
